Musik   Apocalipstic Disco presents: Kill the Dandies! (Garage Psych/CZ) + Dandelion and Burdock (FuzzyGarage/Praque)

Aftershow w/ Dj Team Stefan Stroko Rebohm & Vanessa Valez
Kill The Dandies!!'s ingredients for this leathal sonic cocktail are psychedelic garage rock with thick layers of hammonds, analog synths and funky guitar bites. Their sources of inspiration run deep, from The Cramps-esque psychotic rock’n’roll, Lee Hazlewood’s loli-poppy country ballads, The Velvet Underground’s unbrushed rawness, to Phil Spector’s noisy wall of sound or David Lynch’s movies. Maybe this is why Kill The Dandies! are so sweet and dangerous at the same time.

Musik   thirsty & miserable: THE BUGS (Garage-Punk/Bubblegum-Pop, Portland/US) + Nunofyrbeeswax (Lo-Fi Pop-Punk, Bln) + Worlds Dirtiest Sport (guitar/bass/loops/noise, Portland/US)

worlds dirtiest sport

The Bugs are a duo (and now trio) from Portland, USA.
Founded in 1998, The Bugs have played shows with many different types of acts from heavy bands like Red Fang & Big Business to anti-folk songwriter Jeffrey Lewis as well as garage-rockers like The Urinals, No Bunny, Pierced Arrows, and even a very young Ty Segall. Their first records came out on Fred Cole from Dead Moon's Tombstone label, but perhaps they are best known for their roles as recurring characters in Red Fang videos. The band on this tour includes members of legendary noisemakers Trumans Water (a John Peel favorite).

Nunofyrbeeswax
write and play a bunch of pop songs as raw as their hearts in a minimal set up. ...and that's how we like it!

Worlds Dirtiest Sport is Kevin Branstetter from Trumans Water doing solo (or with guests) guitar/bass/loops/noise songs.

Worlds Dirtiest Sport started as an improv, replacement band for, lo-fi legends, Trumans Water when all members were unavailable. Formed of a rotating cast of friends of Trumans, too many to list (basically a who's who of the Portland noise/pop underground) the one constant being Kevin Branstetter (guitarist/singer and founding member of TW). Kevin has continued to use the WDS moniker for his solo project. Using guitars, loops, voice and toe controlled noise makers, the outright chaos has been replaced by a more concentrated, concise chaos, touching on Psychedelic Pop.

MAJORITY RULE (washington, d.c. – Magic Bullet Records)
The band initially got their start in 1996 as a four-piece out of Northern Virginia. The earliest incarnation of the band cranked out various 7”s and splits while dialing in a particular sound and sonic approach that would come into full manifestation later. In fact, it wasn’t until the year 2000 (and trimming down to a three-piece) where the band truly came into their own with a 4-song demo that exemplified a unique sound that truly hadn’t been done before.Three of the songs from the 2000 demo were re-recorded for Interviews With David Frost, the band’s first proper full length and debut album for Magic Bullet Records. Songs like “At 3 AM,” “XOXO,” and “The Sin in Grey” immediately captured the fascination of Washington DC’s local punk, hardcore, and metal community and word began to spread nationally immediately upon the album’s release in 2001. The next year marked one of the busiest years in MAJORITY RULE’s history. They reentered the studio to record a split album with fellow DC/VA area stalwarts PAGENINETYNINE. The two bands had did countless shows on the road together at this point, guested on each others’ track. The following year caught the band in full-swing, absolutely perfecting their brand of hardcore on 2003’s Emergency Numbers LP. The album captured the rarified air of being ungodly heavy while retaining peak urgency from song to song. Loops and delays were incorporated much more into the compositions while the almost black-metal-like vocals found a visceral level that’s just not often heard before, then, and now. Most impressively, the band had mastered tone at this point, be it in the studio, on a stage in front of 3000 people, or in a cramped basement full of 30 people. Thirteen years later, conditions locally, nationally, and globally have exposed a fertile patch toward the resurrection of MAJORITY RULE, if for nothing else but to return to many of the stages and spaces they’ve performed in prior, and under the same exact ethics they held then and now, to raise awareness, funding, and goodwill toward individualized, local causes in each and every town they are set to perform in.

ERAI (BLN)
Being a tragic story of love and hate in six Songs, this record has a wide range of musical influences.

Started with the classic 90s screamo like Policy of 3 or Chino Horde in mind, more and more modern influences found their way into the sound of ERAI! So this selftitled debut 12" became an melancholic, dark and intense blend of screamo, emo, posthardcore and even some indie/alternative-rock!
